Single generation since 2024 model year. Built at GM's Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan — not on a normal assembly line. Cadillac established a dedicated craft assembly area within the Tech Center to hand-build the Celestiq, with maximum production rate of approximately 200 cars per year — making the Celestiq one of the rarest production vehicles in the modern era. Each Celestiq is fully bespoke — Cadillac's 'Cadillac Concierge' team works individually with each buyer to specify: paint colors (over 100 standard options plus custom mixing), interior trim materials (leather, suede, wool fabric, carbon fiber, exotic wood / metal accents), leather colors and stitching patterns, wood / metal trim selections, and personalization elements (monograms, special embroidery, custom badging). Pricing starts $340,000 base, with most cars exceeding $400-500k+ after personalization. Underlying GM Ultium platform (BEV3 / 400V architecture) — same architecture family as Lyriq / Vistiq, but with custom Celestiq-specific battery configuration (111 kWh — larger than Lyriq's 102 kWh) and unique motor tuning. Single powertrain configuration only: dual-motor AWD, front and rear permanent magnet motors, 600 hp / 640 lb-ft combined system output, ~303 mi EPA range, DC fast-charging peak 200 kW (modest by 800V Korean rival standards but adequate). 0-60 in approximately 3.8 sec. 4-seat layout only — no rear bench option: rear cabin features two reclining executive captain's chairs with massage, ventilation, and integrated leg rests, plus dedicated rear-seat 12-inch screens, refrigerated console, and 5-zone climate control. Cabin centerpiece: 55-inch full-width 8K resolution LED display spanning the entire dashboard from A-pillar to A-pillar — the largest display in any production vehicle ever made, far exceeding Mercedes Hyperscreen (56-inch but split into three displays) and Cadillac Lyriq's 33-inch. 38-speaker AKG Studio Reference premium audio system, Smart Glass Roof with 4-zone electronically dimmable opacity (each passenger can control their own roof zone independently), Magic Mirror rear-seat entertainment, active suspension with all-wheel steering. Air suspension standard with active body control. Super Cruise hands-free highway driving standard. Trims: only one trim — every Celestiq is hand-built and individually specified. The Celestiq represents Cadillac's most ambitious product since the Eldorado of the 1950s — and is explicitly positioned as a statement product to demonstrate Cadillac's design and engineering capability, not as a profit center. GM has stated the Celestiq's purpose is to elevate the Cadillac brand globally and show that the brand can compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley at the very top of the luxury market. Sales since launch have been deliberately constrained by the hand-built production model — Cadillac has not disclosed exact volumes but industry estimates suggest fewer than 100 Celestiqs delivered to customers in 2024.

Used-market budget

$390,000

Base $320-360k. Mid-spec $360-440k. Heavily-personalized examples $440-500k+. Too new for significant depreciation. Hand-built rarity and bespoke nature suggest strong long-term value retention.
