Volvo C40 Recharge
Volvo C40 Recharge — spec data and generation history.
The C40 is the coupe-SUV variant of the XC40 Recharge — same CMA platform, same battery options, same powertrains, sloping roofline. Launched 2021 as Volvo's first EV-only model. Single-motor FWD (235 bhp, 67 kWh, ~298 miles WLTP) or twin-motor AWD (402 bhp, 78 kWh, ~340 miles). Built in Ghent (Belgium), then 2024 single-motor moved to RWD with new motor for better efficiency. If you want XC40 Recharge but with style and a smaller boot, the C40 is the answer. Ghent build quality solid, software has improved post-2023 OTA updates.
