Toyota ist (Japan-market 2nd gen) federalised for US Scion brand, also sold as Toyota Urban Cruiser in Latin America. NUP110 platform shared with the contemporary Toyota Yaris. 2ZR-FE 1.8L DOHC VVT-i I4 (128 hp / 125 lb-ft) — Corolla-derived engine, more power than the xA's 1.5L. Five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. FWD only. Five-door subcompact hatchback. Standard equipment included A/C, CD audio, ABS, stability control, traction control, six airbags. Monospec trim with extensive accessory catalogue. Release Series limited editions: RS 1.0 (2008), RS 2.0 (2009), RS 3.0 (2011), RS 4.0 (2012), and 'Five-Axis Studio' (2009) special. Production at Toyota Iwate plant in Japan. Total xD US sales ~70,000 across seven years — well below the xA's three-year total. Discontinued after 2014, replaced by the Mazda 2-derived iA for 2016.
