Scion xD

The Scion xD (2008-2014) replaced the original xA in Scion's lineup — federalised Toyota ist second generation, sold in Latin America as Toyota Urban Cruiser. Five-door subcompact hatchback, FWD only, 1.8L 2ZR-FE I4 (128 hp), five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Same Yaris-platform underpinnings as the xA but with the more powerful Corolla-derived engine. Standard equipment improved over xA — stability control, ABS, side airbags all standard. Sales never matched the xA's modest peak of 30,000+; xD topped out at ~17,000 in 2008 and declined to under 10,000 by 2011. Discontinued after 2014 model year — replaced by the Mazda 2-based iA for 2016. Now firmly cheap used territory and a true curio.
