Ram 1500 TRX Single Generation (2021-2024)
702-hp Hellcat V8 in a half-ton. The last supercharged Hellcat truck. Raptor R rival.
Single-generation halo truck on the Ram 1500 DT platform (5th-gen Ram 1500), built at Sterling Heights, Michigan. Engine: the 'Hellcat' 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 producing 702 hp / 650 lb-ft at the crank — same essential engine family as the Challenger / Charger Hellcat (vs the 707/717 hp in those cars; TRX is detuned slightly for towing duty cycle). 8HP95 TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic (heavy-duty version capable of handling the Hellcat torque). 4WD with 2-speed BorgWarner transfer case. 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory ATs on 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels. Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers (2.5-inch monotube) with 13 inches of total suspension travel. Standard front skid plates, locking rear differential, ~12 inches of ground clearance. Cabin: standard 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen (portrait), heated/cooled front seats, 19-speaker Harman Kardon optional, head-up display optional. Trims: TRX (base), TRX Lunar Edition (2023, gunmetal/black), TRX Sandblast Edition (sand color, off-road bash plates), TRX Havoc Edition (matte body wrap), TRX Final Edition (2024 sendoff with serialized plaque, special paint, ~4,000 lb hood-vent decals, $115k+ MSRP). Performance: 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, quarter-mile 12.9 seconds at 108 mph — at launch the fastest production half-ton ever made. Towing rated 8,100 lb (less than standard 1500 due to off-road tuning sacrifice), payload ~1,310 lb. Discontinued after 2024 model year as Stellantis ended Hellcat V8 production across the lineup. The successor — Ram has confirmed a TRX replacement using the 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo I6 producing 540 hp — but that's not the same Hellcat-soundtrack experience. Used 2023-2024 TRX (especially Final Edition) holding values exceptionally well.
