Plug-in Hybrid Supercar

The Temerario is Lamborghini's replacement for the Huracán — launched 2025 model year, ending the Huracán's V10-only era. The Temerario marks Lamborghini's transition to plug-in hybrid supercars — following the Revuelto (V12 PHEV replacing Aventador) and Urus SE (PHEV variant of Urus). First Lamborghini supercar with a V8 since the Urraco / Jalpa 1980s era. Built at Lamborghini Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. Single generation. Powertrain: 4.0L flat-plane crank twin-turbocharged V8 (a brand-new Lamborghini-developed engine, not shared with Audi / Porsche / VW Group V8 engines) producing 789 hp alone, plus 3 electric motors (1 axial flux motor in the transmission, 2 radial flux motors at the front axle), combined system output 907 hp / 538 lb-ft, 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, AWD via electric front axle (genuine through-road hybrid AWD — front motors decoupled at high speed), 3.8 kWh battery, 2.7 sec 0-62 mph, ~213 mph top speed. The V8 revs to 10,000 rpm — a stunning rev limit for a turbo engine. Cabin: dual driver-display + central touchscreen + passenger touchscreen layout, ambient lighting, Lamborghini's signature cabin theatricality. Pricing ~$330k starting, easily $400k+ with options. Reception has been extremely positive — reviewers praise the V8 character (despite turbocharging), the electric front axle's torque-vectoring sophistication, and the overall driving feel maintaining Lamborghini's character despite the hybrid powertrain.
