The Yukon is the Tahoe in a Brooks Brothers suit — same body-on-frame chassis, same V8 engines, but with the Denali trim taking it into Escalade-rivaling territory at lower price. Yukon XL is the long-wheelbase version (Suburban equivalent). The current 5th-gen (2021-) added independent rear suspension and the AT4 off-road trim. Denali Ultimate gets all the toys: Magnetic Ride Control, 22-inch wheels, panoramic moonroof, the open-pore wood interior. Towing and capability identical to Tahoe; price premium is mostly trim and badge.
