The CTS-V is what happens when GM gives Cadillac engineers the Corvette parts bin. The 2nd-gen (2009-2014) had the 556bhp supercharged LSA from the ZR1 Corvette and was offered with a six-speed manual — the only luxury sedan of its era you could spec like that. The 3rd-gen (2016-2019) added the 640bhp LT4 from the C7 Z06 and switched to an eight-speed auto. Build quality lags BMW and Mercedes; the powertrain doesn't. Used 2nd-gens with manuals are the cult pick.
