Audi Q6 e-tron First Generation (2025-present)
Audi's first PPE 800V EV. 270 kW DC fast-charge. SQ6 (509 hp). Replaces Q8 e-tron.
Single generation since 2025 on Audi's first PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform — co-developed with Porsche (Macan EV is the platform sister). PPE is Audi's first purpose-built 800V EV architecture, addressing the Q8 e-tron's 400V slow-charging weakness. Built at Audi Ingolstadt, Germany. Two body styles: Q6 e-tron (regular SUV body) and Q6 Sportback e-tron (fastback variant — about 10% less cargo, more striking silhouette). 100 kWh battery (94.9 kWh usable, 800V architecture). Three power configurations: Q6 e-tron Performance (single-motor RWD, 302 hp / 410 lb-ft, ~321 mi EPA range), Q6 e-tron quattro (dual-motor AWD, 387 hp / 451 lb-ft combined, ~307 mi range), and SQ6 e-tron (dual-motor AWD with sport-tuned rear motor, 509 hp / 532 lb-ft combined, 4.1 sec 0-60, ~283 mi range). DC fast-charging peak 270 kW at 800V — competitive with Hyundai/Kia/Genesis 800V vehicles, far ahead of Audi's Q8 e-tron 170 kW. 11.5 kW AC standard, 22 kW AC optional in some markets. Cabin: panoramic Digital Stage dashboard with 11.9-inch driver display + 14.5-inch central touchscreen in unified curved panel, plus optional 10.9-inch front-passenger touchscreen (with content protection so driver can't see it), head-up display with augmented reality navigation standard mid-trim. Bang & Olufsen 20-speaker premium audio option (with sound design by former Sonos engineers Audi hired for this project). Audi's most advanced cabin tech to date outside Q4 e-tron / S e-tron Sportback. Standard adaptive air suspension on quattro / SQ6, optional on Performance. Trims: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige, SQ6 e-tron Premium Plus / Prestige. The Q6 e-tron has been well-received at launch — reviewers praise the 800V charging speed, range improvement over Q8 e-tron, and cabin tech evolution. Sales strong in initial 2025 launch. Federal tax credit not eligible (German build, doesn't meet IRA assembly / battery sourcing requirements) — leasing path required for tax credit.
