Honda's 50th-anniversary roadster — front-engine, rear-drive, naturally aspirated, manual only, screamer of a four-cylinder. AP1 (1999-2003) ran the F20C 2.0 — 240 bhp at 8300 rpm with a 9000 rpm redline, the highest specific output of any production NA engine at launch. AP2 (2004-2009) brought the 2.2 F22C with more torque, a tamer redline (8000 rpm) and revised suspension to settle the snap-oversteer reputation. Last of the high-rev VTEC era, prices climbing fast, the kind of car you should buy now if you ever want one.
