Audi A4 Allroad
Raised, rugged-trimmed A4 Avant. Audi's softest off-roader. The smart family wagon.
The A4 Allroad is Audi's lifted-and-rugged-trimmed A4 Avant wagon, sold in the US since 2017 as the spiritual successor to the Audi 'allroad' that ended in 2005. 1.5-2 inches of additional ground clearance over the standard A4 Avant, plastic body cladding, unique alloy wheels, and Hill Descent Control. Mechanically the A4 Allroad uses Audi's 2.0-litre TFSI four-cylinder making 248 hp (US-market only), seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch, quattro AWD standard. Adaptive damping optional. The A4 Allroad sells in tiny volumes — wagons are a niche taste in the US — but it's one of the only wagon options in the segment after Volvo killed the V60 Cross Country and BMW killed the 3 Series Touring for the US market. For families who don't want an SUV but need genuine all-weather and light off-road capability, the A4 Allroad is essentially unique in 2025.
