XK60 platform — Tundra-2nd-gen-derived but with fully boxed frame (70% more bend resistance, 30% more torsional rigidity vs 1st gen) and independent rear suspension with double-wishbones + coil springs (departing from solid-axle 1st gen). Tighter turning radius (19 ft) and fold-flat 3rd row enabled by IRS. Built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana 2008-2021, then transferred to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (San Antonio) for final 2022 model year (Indiana plant prepared for new Grand Highlander / Lexus TX). 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8 (273-276 hp / 314 lb-ft, 2008-2009 only). 5.7L 3UR-FE V8 (381 hp / 401 lb-ft) optional 2008-2009, then standard from 2010 onwards (after 4.7L discontinued). 6-speed automatic. RWD or 4WD with two-speed transfer case (low-range), locking center diff. 7,400 lb towing. Trims (final years): SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Sport, Nightshade, TRD Pro (added 2020 with FOX shocks, BBS forged 18-inch wheels, off-road tuning). 8-passenger or 7-passenger captain's chair configurations. Optional second-row entertainment system (rear DVD/screen). 14-year production run (2008-2022) is exceptionally long and the 2nd gen aged considerably during that span — by 2020+ the cabin tech and powertrain were well behind GM rivals (Tahoe / Suburban / Yukon), and the 5.7L V8's 13-15 mpg fuel economy was non-competitive. Replaced by 3rd gen for 2023.

2008-2010 4.7L cars $11-19k. 2010+ 5.7L V8 cars $16-32k. 2015-2018 cars $22-42k. 2019-2021 cars $32-52k. 2020-2022 TRD Pro $42-58k+. Frame rust + air-suspension service history are critical.
