Scion iM
Single-year Toyota Auris hatch rebadge. 1.8L 137 hp. Became Toyota Corolla iM for 2017+, then Corolla Hatchback.
The Scion iM (2016) was sold for a single model year before the Scion brand closure. Federalised Toyota Auris hatchback (E180 platform), built at Toyota's plant in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. 1.8L 2ZR-FAE I4 (137 hp), six-speed manual or CVT. FWD only. Five-door compact hatchback. Aimed against the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic Hatch in the compact-hatch segment. Standard equipment included aggressive front fascia, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate, seven airbags, ABS, stability control, traction control. Distinctive sporty styling with side skirts, rear lower diffuser, and chrome exhaust tip — Scion-specific exterior details that the Toyota Auris didn't carry in other markets. After 2016, the iM became the Toyota Corolla iM for 2017 and 2018 model years, then absorbed into the Toyota Corolla Hatchback line for 2019+. Total 2016 Scion iM sales modest. Now a single-year Scion-badged curio — affordable used and largely functionally identical to the Toyota Corolla iM successor.
