McLaren GT
McLaren GT — spec data and generation history.

McLaren's softer GT remit — same M840TE 4.0 TT V8 as the 720S detuned to 612 bhp, with longer travel suspension, larger boot (luggage shelf above the engine), softer cabin trim. Not a track car. Sits below the 720S/750S in the range, above the Sports Series cars. Replaced in 2024 by the GTS facelift with revised engine cover for more luggage and a bump to 626 bhp. The McLaren you buy if you want a 911 Turbo S alternative for cross-continent driving rather than circuit days. Less posted-about than the rest of the range, but a properly capable real-world supercar.
