M156 platform — completely new architecture shared with Ghibli III on a longer wheelbase. Built at Grugliasco plant, Turin. 3.0L Ferrari-built twin-turbo V6 (345 hp / 369 hp / 430 hp depending on trim — Quattroporte / S / S Q4 AWD), 3.8L Ferrari-built twin-turbo V8 (530 hp 2014-2020 GTS, 580 hp Trofeo 2021-2024). ZF 8HP 8-speed automatic across all engines. RWD or Q4 AWD on V6 (Q4 AWD not available on V8 Trofeo — RWD only). 0-60 in 4.2 sec on Trofeo, top speed 203 mph (electronically limited 200 mph on most markets). Trims: GT (V6 base), Modena (V6 mid), Modena Q4 (AWD), Trofeo (V8). 2017 mid-cycle facelift. 2021 second mid-cycle facelift introduced new front fascia, the Trofeo trim with V8, and the new MIA infotainment running Android Automotive (replacing the dated MTC+ Uconnect system) with 10.1-inch touchscreen, OTA updates, Amazon Alexa, wireless CarPlay. Standard equipment: full leather, Harman Kardon 10-speaker audio, 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio optional, Pelle Frau / Poltrona Frau leather optional, optional ventilated/heated rear seats. Active Driving Assist Level 2 ADAS standard from 2021. Quattroporte 334 Ultima (2024 final edition, 580 hp Trofeo, only 103 examples worldwide — paired with the Ghibli 334 Ultima) celebrates the brand's V8 era end. Production ended 2024. The 3.8L twin-turbo V8 ceased Maserati factory production late 2023. Quattroporte 7th gen announced as electric-only (Folgore) with 800V architecture but launch delayed; currently no firm restart date.
