Maserati Levante Sole Generation (2016-2024)
Maserati's first SUV. Q4 AWD standard. Ferrari V6 (345-430 hp) or 3.8L V8 Trofeo (590 hp, 187 mph).
M161 platform — derived from Quattroporte VI / Ghibli III architecture but adapted for SUV ride height and packaging. Built at Mirafiori plant, Turin. Q4 AWD standard. Air suspension with five height modes standard. 3.0L Ferrari-built twin-turbo V6 (345 hp on Levante GT 2016-2020, 430 hp on Levante Modena S / Levante S Q4 from 2017+). 3.0L V6 diesel (275 hp) Europe-only 2016-2018. Levante GTS (2018-2020): 3.8L Ferrari-built twin-turbo V8 (550 hp / 538 lb-ft). Levante Trofeo (2018-2024 halo): same 3.8L Ferrari V8 but tuned to 590 hp / 538 lb-ft — higher output than Ghibli/Quattroporte V8 to compensate for SUV weight. 0-60 in 3.8 sec, top speed 187 mph (electronically limited). ZF 8HP 8-speed automatic across all engines. 2021 mid-cycle facelift: refreshed front fascia, MIA Android Automotive infotainment with 10.1-inch touchscreen replacing earlier MTC+ Uconnect system, new Trofeo styling cues (carbon fibre exterior trim, dark taillamps, Nerissimo blackout package). Trims: GT (V6 base), Modena (V6 mid), Modena S (V6 high), GTS (V8 mid 2018-2020), Trofeo (V8 halo). Standard equipment: full leather, panoramic sunroof, 19-inch wheels (20-21 inch optional on top trims), Harman Kardon 14-speaker audio. Bowers & Wilkins 14-speaker audio optional. Active Driving Assist Level 2 ADAS standard from 2021. Levante V8 Final Edition (2024 final year): only 103 examples worldwide, celebrating the V8's discontinuation. Production ended 2024. The Levante is currently cult-collector status particularly for Trofeo V8 examples; V8 Maserati factory production ceased late 2023.
