Built at Maserati's Grugliasco plant in Turin, Italy. 3.0L twin-turbo V6 Ferrari-built (designed and assembled by Ferrari at Maranello, badged Maserati): 345 hp on Ghibli, 369 hp on Ghibli S, 430 hp on Ghibli S Q4 (revised tuning 2018+). 3.0L diesel V6 (275 hp) Europe-only. Ghibli Trofeo (2021-2024): 3.8L twin-turbo V8 Ferrari-built — same family as the F154-derived V8 used in earlier Ferrari California / Maserati Quattroporte GTS — producing 572-580 hp / 538 lb-ft, top speed 203 mph, 0-60 in 4.0 sec, RWD only. 2021 Mild-Hybrid 2.0L I4 (330 hp combined) added as entry-level in select markets. ZF 8HP-series 8-speed automatic across all engines. RWD standard, Q4 AWD optional on V6. 2021 mid-cycle facelift introduced new front fascia, tail lights, the Trofeo trim, and the new MIA infotainment running Android Automotive (replacing the dated MTC+ Uconnect system) with 10.1-inch touchscreen, OTA updates, Amazon Alexa, wireless CarPlay, wireless charging. Standard equipment: 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio, full leather, 19/20-inch wheels. Bowers & Wilkins 15-speaker premium audio optional. Active Driving Assist Level 2 ADAS standard from 2021. Late special editions: Ribelle (2018, blacked-out), Edizione Ribelle (2019), Operanera/Operabianca (2020 black/white), Hybrid GT (2021+, MHEV-only markets), and the Ghibli 334 Ultima (2024 final-edition, 580 hp, only 103 examples worldwide — celebrating Maserati's claimed 334 km/h top-speed achievements). Production ended 2024. The 3.8L twin-turbo V8 ceased Maserati production late 2023.
