Kia Carnival / Sedona 4th Gen Carnival (2022-present)
Renamed from Sedona. SUV-styled MPV. 3.5L Lambda III V6 (290 hp). First-ever Carnival Hybrid added 2025.
KA4 platform — completely new design, shared with Hyundai Palisade and Kia Sorento. Kia marketed it as 'MPV' rather than minivan, with crossover-styling cues, more upright nose, faux-SUV body cues. Renamed Carnival globally for naming alignment. 3.5L Lambda III V6 (290 hp / 262 lb-ft), eight-speed automatic, FWD only — no AWD offered. Three rows of seating, 7- or 8-passenger depending on configuration. Trims: LX, EX, SX, SX Prestige. Second-row VIP seating on SX Prestige: heated, ventilated, motorized recline with footrest extension, paired with reclining 'Lounge' position — a class-leading feature. 12.3-inch digital cluster + 12.3-inch dual touchscreen optional, dual sunroof optional, hands-free power sliding doors, 12-speaker Bose audio, head-up display, Driver Talk in-car intercom system. Towing 3,500 lb. 2025 added Carnival Hybrid: 1.6L Smartstream T-GDI + 1.49 kWh battery + 72 hp electric motor (245 hp combined), eCVT-style automatic, FWD only — first-ever Carnival/Sedona Hybrid. EPA-rated 33 mpg combined (vs 22 on V6) — class-leading minivan fuel economy. Built at Kia Sohari plant, South Korea (no US production). Currently competing strongly against Toyota Sienna (hybrid-only since 2021) and Honda Odyssey. Now Kia's only minivan / MPV.
