Five-speed Jatco JR509E automatic. RWD on FX35; AWD standard on FX45 (FX35 AWD optional). 'Bionic Cheetah' design language — coupe-profiled SUV with prominent rear haunches, set wide track. The FX was the first vehicle sold in NA with Lane Departure Warning (2005). 2006 facelift brought new grille, front bumper, wheel design, plus standard leather and rear-view camera.
