Infiniti Q60 1st (G37 carryover) + 2nd Gen
G37-coupe rebadge then V37 clean-sheet. VR30DDTT 400-hp Red Sport 400 is the cult pick. Final Infiniti coupe.
Two distinct phases. 2014-2015 'first-gen Q60' was the G37 coupe and convertible rebadged under the new Q-prefix nomenclature — VQ37VHR V6 (330 hp / 348 hp IPL), six-speed manual or seven-speed auto, RWD only, V36 platform. The Q60 IPL specifically continued as the halo. From 2017 model year, the second-generation Q60 launched as a clean-sheet design on V37 platform — 2.0L turbo I4 (208 hp, Mercedes M274), 3.0L twin-turbo V6 (300 hp, VR30DDTT), 3.0L twin-turbo V6 (400 hp, Red Sport 400 trim). Seven-speed Jatco JR710E automatic only — no manual. RWD with Intelligent AWD optional. Dramatic styling — Infiniti's most aggressively-designed coupe ever. The Project Black S concept (2017) hinted at a high-performance F1-derived KERS variant that never reached production. Reviewers praised the styling and engine character but often noted the chassis felt softer than the BMW 4 Series of the era. Discontinued for 2023 — the Q60 is the final Infiniti coupe to date. Production at Nissan Tochigi. Now firmly affordable used; Red Sport 400 examples in low mileage are the cult pick.
