Honda Civic Type R
Honda Civic Type R — spec data and generation history.
Honda's halo hot hatch — five UK generations, two distinct philosophies. EP3 (2001-2005) and FN2 (2007-2011) were naturally-aspirated K20 high-rev hatches in the original VTEC tradition; FK2 (2015-2017) switched to forced induction with the 306 bhp K20C1 turbo; FK8 (2017-2021) refined that into a 316 bhp Nurburgring-record-holder; FL5 (2023-Present) is the current 325 bhp version — quieter, sharper, the best one yet. Always front-wheel drive, always with a manual gearbox. The hot-hatch benchmark across multiple eras.
