The GV80 is Genesis's mid-size luxury SUV — launched 2021 as the brand's first SUV. JX1 platform shared with G80 RG3 / GV70 JK1. Single generation across the run. Two engines: 2.5L Smartstream T-GDI I4 (300 hp / 311 lb-ft), 3.5L Smartstream T-GDI V6 (375 hp / 391 lb-ft on Sport Prestige). 8-speed Shiftronic automatic. AWD standard, no RWD option. Two-row 5-passenger or three-row 6/7-passenger configurations. Adaptive air suspension with Road Preview standard on Sport Prestige. GV80 Coupe added 2025 model year as an SUV-coupe variant — sloped roofline, raked rear glass, more aggressive front fascia. Genesis Magma halo performance variants of GV80 / GV60 / G80 announced for late-2026 production with rumored 4.0L bi-turbo V8 and Magma-tuned chassis. Standard: full leather throughout, dual 12.3-inch displays, Lexicon audio, panoramic sunroof on top trims. Optional: 14.5-inch infotainment, head-up display, Bang & Olufsen 21-speaker audio, 22-inch wheels. 2024 mid-cycle facelift: new front fascia with double-line grille pattern, refreshed taillamps, 27-inch OLED dual-display option (matching G80/G90 facelifts). Trims: Standard 2.5T, Advanced 2.5T, Sport Advanced, Sport Prestige. Built at Hyundai Ulsan plant, Korea. Currently a strong sales success in the US — frequently outsells European mid-size luxury SUV rivals on value-per-dollar metrics.
