Ford GT
Le Mans homage twice over. 2005 V8 supercharged, 2017 EcoBoost V6 with active aero.
The 2005 GT was Ford's centennial homage to the GT40 — supercharged 5.4L V8, 550bhp, manual gearbox, designed to feel like a usable everyday supercar that just happened to look like the car that beat Ferrari at Le Mans. The 2017 GT was a different animal — twin-turbo 3.5L EcoBoost V6, dual-clutch only, active aero, carbon tub, designed from the start to win Le Mans GTE again (it did, in 2016). The 2017 was sold by lottery to vetted owners. Both are now appreciating; the 2005 is the more usable car.
