Cadillac XTS
FWD/AWD full-size sedan. Fleet favourite for limos and town cars. Vsport with 410-hp twin-turbo V6 was the cult variant.
The XTS was Cadillac's FWD/AWD full-size sedan from 2013-2019, intended to bridge the gap between the smaller CTS and full-size traditional Cadillac flagships. Built on a stretched version of GM's Epsilon II FWD platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Impala. Two engines: 3.6L V6 NA (304 hp) and 3.6L twin-turbo V6 'Vsport' (410 hp). Six-speed automatic, FWD or AWD. The XTS became the volume seller for limousine and livery service applications — its long wheelbase, comfortable interior, and easy maintenance made it the de facto airport-shuttle Cadillac. Vsport variant with the twin-turbo V6 was the enthusiast pick — Cadillac's first 'V'-prefixed performance trim that wasn't a full V-Series. CUE infotainment debuted in the XTS and was famously polarising due to capacitive touch controls. Discontinued 2019 along with the rest of Cadillac's pre-CT-naming sedan range. Now a depreciation-bombed luxury sedan with character — Vsport models particularly are cheap entry into a 410-hp Cadillac.
