Cadillac STS
RWD/AWD sport sedan. Northstar V8 (320 hp) standard, supercharged Northstar (469 hp) on STS-V. Last Northstar Cadillac sedan.
The STS (Seville Touring Sedan) was Cadillac's mid-size luxury sport sedan from 2005-2011, replacing the FWD Seville. Sigma platform RWD/AWD — same architecture as the second-gen CTS. Two main engine options for US: 3.6L LY7 V6 NA (255 hp) and Northstar 4.6L V8 NA (320 hp). The high-performance STS-V (2006-2009) used a supercharged 4.4L Northstar V8 making 469 hp — the most powerful Northstar engine ever produced. Six-speed automatic on most, Magnetic Ride Control standard on STS-V. AWD optional on V6 cars. The STS-V is the cult collector pick — Cadillac's last supercharged Northstar sedan and one of fewer than 4,000 examples built across the four-year run. Standard STS production was significantly larger but the model never achieved BMW 5 Series / Mercedes E-Class sales volume. Discontinued for 2012 with the brand transitioning to the larger XTS plus the smaller ATS.
