Bugatti W16 Mistral
99 cars only. Open-top farewell to the W16. 1,577 hp, $5M+ each. The last quad-turbo W16 Bugatti.
The W16 Mistral is Bugatti's open-top farewell to the W16 engine — a roadster sending off the architecture that defined the brand for two decades. Production limited to 99 cars worldwide, all sold before deliveries began. Original list price €5 million ($5.4M+ in the US). The Mistral uses the highest-output version of the 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 (1,577 hp, same as the Chiron Super Sport 300+) but in a bespoke body designed specifically as a roadster — the chassis was designed for this car, not adapted from a coupe. Named after the powerful wind that sweeps the French Riviera. Bugatti claimed the Mistral would be the fastest open-top production car, targeting 250+ mph with the top down. Production began 2024 at Bugatti's Molsheim atelier in France. The Mistral is a transitional model — the last W16 Bugatti before the 2026 Tourbillon's V16 hybrid takeover.
