BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupé
Four-door coupe variant. 540-600 hp twin-turbo V8 BMW M6 fighter. Only Alpina B6 ever sold in the US. Cult collector.
The Alpina B6 Gran Coupé (2015-2019) was the only B6 model ever sold in the United States — Alpina's hand-built take on the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé, the four-door coupe variant of the 6 Series shared with the M6 Gran Coupé. F12/F13 platform underneath. Engine: N63 4.4L twin-turbo V8 — 540 hp / 540 lb-ft (2015 launch) revised to 600 hp / 590 lb-ft (2016-2019 facelift). Eight-speed ZF automatic. xDrive AWD. RWD versions sold in other markets but never in the US. The B6 GC was Alpina's response to the BMW M6 Gran Coupé — but with Alpina's traditional 'speed not sport' character: more luxurious, slightly softer suspension, more torque than peak power. 0-60 in 3.7 seconds (US-spec xDrive), 318 km/h (~198 mph) top speed. Production was small — global Alpina output across all models has averaged ~2,000 units annually, with B6 GC representing a fraction. US sales correspondingly modest — the B6 GC is one of the rarest US-market Alpinas. Discontinued 2019 along with the broader 6 Series Gran Coupé range. Now firmly collector territory.
