Toyota Prius
Toyota Prius — spec data and generation history.

The car that invented mainstream hybrid - and made Toyota the world's biggest car-maker. UK got XW10 from 2000 (saloon, fragile early HSD), XW20 (2003-2009) the famous wedge minicab queen, XW30 (2009-2015) the standard reference for taxi reliability, XW50 (2015-2022) the spaceship-styled Mk4. Plug-in Prius PHEV variant from 2012 onwards with proper EV-only range. The 1.8 HSD in XW30/XW50 is borderline indestructible - 200,000-mile minicab cars are not unusual. Mk5 (XW60) launched globally 2022 but UK got minimal allocation - Toyota effectively let the Corolla and bZ4X carry the line. The Mk4 is the used buyer's sweet spot.
