Toyota's first mainstream EV — built on the e-TNGA platform jointly developed with Subaru (whose Solterra is the badge-engineered sister). UK gets a single 71.4 kWh battery, FWD (201 bhp) or AWD (215 bhp). Range is around 280–320 miles WLTP, charging caps at 150 kW DC. The 2022 launch was overshadowed by a wheel-bolt recall. The 2025 facelift brought a slightly bigger 73.1 kWh pack (74.7 kWh AWD), more power, faster charging, and pre-conditioning. Toyota's reluctance to commit to EVs shows — solid but uninspired.
